Dear Students, Parents, and Staff,
As we step into a new school year, I am filled with excitement and anticipation for the journey ahead. Whether you are returning to our halls or joining us for the first time, welcome to our Rosedale family. Our mission remains steadfast: to reach students for Christ, cultivate character, and achieve academic excellence.
For Our Students: Welcome back! Your presence brings life to our school, and I look forward to seeing you grow, learn, and thrive this year. You have been missed and prayed for this summer. Remember, each of you are unique and have something special to contribute to our school. Embrace your studies, support one another, and strive to be the best version of yourselves.
For Our Parents: Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education. Your partnership is invaluable, and together, we can create a nurturing environment where your children can flourish. We encourage open communication and invite you to be active participants in your child’s learning journey. Let’s work hand in hand to support their academic and spiritual growth this school year.
For Our Staff: Your dedication and passion are the heart of our school. As we embark on another year, let’s continue to inspire and challenge our students, fostering a love for learning and a strong Christian character. Remember, we are not just educators but mentors, guiding our students to become responsible and compassionate individuals.
This year, we are committed to enhancing our communication with you all. Expect regular updates from your respective principals and myself, ensuring you are well-informed and engaged with the happenings across our campus. We aim to keep you connected without overwhelming you, providing clear and concise information relevant to your child’s education and our school’s mission.
As we embark on a new school year, we are excited to introduce our theme for our 2024/2025 school year: Proclaim His Wonders, inspired by Psalm 78:4. This theme is not only a guiding principle for our educational journey but also a call to celebrate and share the incredible works of God in our lives. Psalm 78:4 (KJV) says, “We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.” This verse reminds us of the importance of passing down the knowledge of God’s mighty deeds and His faithfulness from one generation to the next.
I am constantly reminded of how important it is for us as parents to make sure we are sharing the wonderful works of the Lord to our children. This summer my family took our annual trip to the beach. My five year old daughter and I are both very early risers and LOVE to go down to the beach in the morning to watch the sunrise. As we were walking through the sand of the beach, my daughter, who was following behind me, made a comment that struck me. She said, “Mommy, I am going to walk in your footsteps in the sand so you can lead me to the beach”. As soon as she said it, my heart felt so burdened with the responsibility I have as her parent. It is so much more than making sure she can tie her shoes or understands the importance of a good skin care regimen. Psalm 78:4 is a reminder to us that it is on us as parents to teach our children about the Lord. I want to be a witness to my daughter of the goodness and faithfulness of God in my life. It is both a responsibility and privilege to be the first one to teach her about the wonders of our God.
It is also one of the main goals of Rosedale Christian Academy. Our mission at Rosedale Christian Academy is to reach our students for Christ, cultivate character, and achieve academic excellence. We are committed to walking out this mission for the glory of God and the good of our families. We are so thankful for the families that entrust us with not only the academic growth of their children but also the spiritual growth. This year we are focusing on Proclaiming His Wonders to our students throughout time in the classroom, outside in nature, sitting in chapel, the atmosphere of our halls- we want it all to point our students to Him.
Let us embrace this new school year with enthusiasm, faith, and a shared vision for success. Together, we will make this year one of academic and spiritual growth, achievement, and cherished memories.
