As we enter this beautiful holiday season, my heart at Rosedale is full. Not simply because of the lights, the music, and the joy that fills our halls, but because of the incredible students and families God has blessed our school with. Your children remind me of His goodness every single day. Their smiles, their growth, their teachable moments, and even their challenges create opportunities to shape hearts and cultivate character that lasts far beyond the classroom.
The holidays can be busy, loud, and full of to-do’s, but they can also be a sacred chance to slow down and reinforce what matters most: character that honors Jesus Christ. As our students navigate excitement, anticipation, and sometimes even overwhelm, I’m grateful that we have the privilege—together—to guide them toward walking worthy in every moment.
Choosing Christlike Character in Everyday Moments
Walking worthy during the holidays is not about perfection. It’s about choosing Christlike character in the everyday moments:
- Kindness over frustration
- Patience over impulse
- Gratitude over grumbling
It appears in simple but meaningful choices—when a family pauses the rush of December to pray together or when a student chooses to encourage a classmate instead of joining in frustration. It appears every time we stop, refocus our hearts, and reflect on the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. It appears when we, as believers, commit to showing His love no matter what situations we face.
Parents, Your Example Shapes So Much
Parents, the example you set is powerful. Your consistency, gentleness, grace, and willingness to model forgiveness and generosity shape your children more than you may ever realize.
We see the results of your influence here at school:
- When students hold doors for teachers
- When they take responsibility for their actions
- When they encourage classmates
- When they surprise us with wisdom well beyond their years
Your faithfulness at home strengthens everything we do at school. We are grateful for the partnership we share in shaping character that reflects Christ.
A Christmas Prayer for Your Family
My prayer this season is that your home will be filled with peace, purpose, and moments that strengthen your family’s walk with Christ. May this be a time where character is shaped in ways that will carry your children not just through the holidays, but throughout their lives.
As always, know that we are honored to partner with you in guiding their hearts.
From our Rosedale family to yours, may you experience unspeakable joy, the warmth of community, and the love of the reason for the season—Jesus Christ.
